Our History of Success
PACE Atlantic CIC has the most experienced team in Canada with over ten years of designing, launching and running successful PACE programs. We created the longest running and most successful large-scale PACE program in Canada (Halifax's Solar City) which has seen over $16M financed via PACE.
We have also worked with small communities to grow PACE programming. A good example of this is the Town of Berwick's Green Energy Program that saw 28 homes make PACE investments in less than a year. See how we did in the first 6 months with this report to their Council (PDF). The Berwick Green Energy Program also pioneered the first commercial PACE project in Canada prior to being suspended in 2020.
We are now working to create unique regional collaborations between Municipalities to enable PACE in smaller communities.
In July 2021, we expect to be launching a regional PACE collaboration in Atlantic Canada between Wolfville, Charlottetown, and Stratford. More details coming soon.
A Memorandum of Understanding for this Municipal Collaboration can be found here.
City of Guelph and Our Energy Guelph
PACE Atlantic is working with both the City of Guelph and Our Energy Guelph to roll-out a PACE program in the Fall of 2021. Our Energy Guelph is a non-profit set up by the City of Guelph in 2018 to implement it's ambitious Community Energy Plan to make Guelph a net-zero carbon community by 2050.
In January 2020, Guelph City Council endorsed an ambitious PACE Program called GEERS (Guelph Energy Efficiency Retrofit Strategy).
